Our new favorite restaurant--Oficina Latina--just opened in Nolita

Waejong and I discovered this amazing restaurant called Oficina Latina that just opened a few weeks ago in Nolita--24 Prince (between Mott & Elizabeth).  We fell in love with atmosphere and decor (which are reminiscent of our own Loopy Mango decor) and of course food.  The menu consists of a mix of different South American dishes and it even tells you which country the dish comes from.  My favorite ones are calf liver, seafood soup and garlic shrimp.

Google's boutiques.com launch

Google launched boutiques.com website last Wednesday, November 17th  and Loopy Mango was one of the few independent retail boutiques included in the launch.  There are some shortcomings of course but no doubt Google will be working those out soon.  The possibilities, however are limitless.  This website can potentially give amazing exposure to many independent boutiques that otherwise would not be able to get it and will make it so much easier for shoppers around the world to find all of these unique shopping spots under one virtual roof.

The concept is very simple--anyone can go to boutiques.com and set up their own boutique after filling out a questionnaire.  You answer questions about what styles, colors and designers you like and based on that you will be shown products from vendors around the world that go with your style.  When you make a purchase you buy directly from the store, not from google, so you will be supporting all of those boutiques directly.  You can follow other boutiques whose style you like (celebrities, retailers, designers, fashion bloggers, anyone!).

So create your own boutique today and don't forget to follow Loopy Mango Boutique!
